CoquitlamOrthodontist.com is an educational website published by myORTHODONTIST Coquitlam. This page explains how the website handles information. It is not the privacy policy of the clinic's patient records, which are governed by BC's Personal Information Protection Act and the College's record-keeping requirements and are explained to patients in person.
What this site collects
The site has no contact forms and no user accounts. It does not ask for or store personal information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and performance purposes; these are retained for a limited period and not used to identify individuals. If analytics are enabled, they use aggregated, anonymised visit data.
Booking and calls
When you click "Book a free consultation" you are taken to the myORTHODONTIST website (myortho.ca), whose scheduling tool and privacy policy then apply. When you call the clinic, the information you provide is handled under the clinic's patient privacy practices.
Cookies and third parties
The site loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which may set technical cookies or receive your IP address to serve the files. Links to external websites are provided for information; their privacy practices are their own.
Your rights and how to reach us
You may ask what information we hold about you, request corrections, or raise a concern by calling the clinic at (604) 949-0654 and asking for the practice manager. We'll respond within a reasonable time. This policy may be updated; the date of the current version is September 2026.
Analytics and measurement
We may measure how the site is used — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, whether they click through to book — using aggregated, anonymised analytics that don't identify individuals. Links to the myORTHODONTIST booking page carry a source tag so we can tell that a booking came from this site; the tag contains no personal information. We don't use advertising trackers on this site and we don't sell or share visit data.
Children
This site is written for parents and adult patients. It does not knowingly collect information from children, has no forms, and no accounts. Information about a child patient is handled by the clinic under its patient privacy practices, which we'll explain in person at the first visit.
